Learn how to enhance nursing expertise in addiction care through building sustainable rural treatment programs in rural communities. Content emphasizes attitude transformation and partnerships with community resources. Participants discover how to overcome common barriers, implement efficient workflows, and build sustainable treatment programs while maintaining the unique strengths of rural healthcare. Gain the tools and knowledge to:
- Apply cultural humility principles in your rural addiction care practice
- Implement evidence-based solutions to key provider challenges in rural settings
- Conduct trauma-informed screening approaches with rural populations
- Integrate peer recovery support services into your nursing practice
- Develop culturally responsive treatment strategies for your rural community
Learning Outcome:
Upon completion of this program, the participant will:
- Identify two strategies that reduce barriers for addiction healthcare services in rural communities.
