JAPNA Article: Effectiveness of a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Residency Program on Retention
There are few peer-reviewed articles in the nursing literature that describe nurses’ entry into professional practice through psychiatric-mental health nursing, and no research that describes the effectiveness of a Nurse Residency Program (NRP) on retention. This article describes the effectiveness of one NRP on retention, and indicates specific job satisfiers and dissatisfiers.
