4107-21: The New Frontline: COVID-19 Caregiving, Moral Injury and Opportunities to Build Resilience

Nurses working in the healthcare environment during COVID-19 crisis are at a greater risk for developing increased stress, secondary trauma, and ultimately the worsening of overall personal mental health. This presentation introduces the concepts of distress reactions, secondary trauma and moral injury. Strategies to build moral resilience will be identified.
