4034-24: Connecting the Dots: How One Department in an Academic Medical System Improved Access to Mental Health Care Through Development of a Coordinated Clinical Training Program 

This presentation examines barriers to psychiatric nurse practitioner training and strategies for overcoming those barriers to improve access to high-quality mental health care. We will discuss how the right training at the right time enhances both student and preceptor experiences and better prepares graduates for successful transition to practice.
