Adjunctive group therapy focused on cognitive strengthening and coping mechanisms for patients receiving electroconvulsive therapy encourages optimal recovery and continuity of care. In addition to enhancing the patient experience, the pilot study for the ENCODE program indicates preliminary evidence of clinical utility and improvements in subjective memory complaints.
