4027-22:  Veterans, Psychedelics, and PTSD: Healing the Wounds of Service

MDMA-assisted therapy shows promise in phase 3 clinical trials for the treatment of PTSD in Veterans. Evidence indicates that MDMA-assisted therapy is an efficacious treatment and safer than first-line medications. MDMA maximizes therapeutic effects of psychotherapy by decreasing suicidal ideation, depressed mood, substance use, and trauma.
