3311-21: Navigating the Minefield of Ethical, Competency and Practical Issues for Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Exams

Presenters will describe the current minefield regarding competency to consent, ethical and practical issues surrounding sexual assault medical forensic exam (SAFME) for victims presenting with mental illness symptoms. New research findings dispel some of the erroneous beliefs about DNA evidence collection.
