3047-22:  Uncovering the Hidden World of Dating Apps and Sexual Assault: Time to Educate and Advocate

Presenters will describe the latest disturbing international and national violence trends, and research on dating app facilitated sexual assaults. Persons with pre-existing mental illness of any severity are more vulnerable. Psychiatric mental health nurses can reduce sexual assault vulnerability without victim-blaming and promote evidence-based treatments to reduce trauma impact.
