3024-24: A Review of the Literature on Secondary Traumatic Stress: Universal Precautions for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurses

Secondary Traumatic Stress (STS) is a universal problem affecting nurses around the globe. This presentation suggests that there may be “universal precautions” that can be implemented to mitigate the effects of vicarious trauma, and suggests interventions to prevent the development of STS in PMH nurses.
