3023-17: Utilizing Telehealth to Overcome Clinical Site Challenges

The session explores the barriers to mental health nursing clinical experiences in rural settings.  It discusses how telehealth can provide students an opportunity to learn to deliver quality care to a diverse population while increasing patient satisfaction.

  1. Describe a telehealth clinical experience for psychiatric mental health nursing students.
  2. Identify the role of the student, faculty, and practitioner in a telehealth clinical experience.
  3. Identify available technology to remove barriers to mental health clinical learning experiences.
