Acutely agitated patients are commonly encountered in numerous practice settings.  This presentation will share these guidelines in practical demonstrations/discussions.

1.  Describe the challenges of caring for patients with mental health complaints in an acute ED.
2.  Describe a process to develop a multidisciplinary psychiatric triage team.
3.  Describe patient outcomes after implementation of a multidisciplinary psychiatric triage team.
