This presentation explores the dangers of bullying confronting children today. How do we identify early warning signs of bullying, intervene and educate children, families and schools to stop bullying in society? Every 7 seconds, a child is being bullied in school. We will discuss interventions to stop bullying in our world.

Upon completion of this presentation, the participant will be able to:
1. Define and identify the types of bullying and the characteristics of the victim, bully, and bystander.
2. Describe the common causes of bullying and the signs of psychiatric disorders that develop as a result of bullying.
3. Develop important treatment interventions to stop the bullying epidemic.
4. Understand the prevalence of bullying in our children’s world and the anti-bullying law in Massachusetts.
