This presentation will focus on the importance of resiliency in our workforce. Nurse leaders will learn how to ensure resiliency in themselves and create a culture that’s conducive for staff to care for mental health populations long term.

Upon completion of this presentation, the participant will be able to:
- Define resilience in nursing and relate its implications to nursing management and leadership.
- Identify strategies to improve resilience as a nurse leader and demonstrate how these tools can be implemented with staff to prevent burnout.
- Summarize how retention and growth of the psychiatric mental health nursing workforce can be obtained by becoming a more resilient nurse leader.
