2017-18: Listen to the Story my Body Tells: Lessons Learned in Sexual Assault Nurse Examinations

We will explore the prevalence of sexual assault in the United States and the nurse’s role in performing trauma-informed sexual assault examinations. We will then discuss patient advocacy in the legal system. Finally, we will draw essential conclusions about the shared experiences of the forensic and psychiatric patient.
