2011-18: When the Medication Rules Don't Fit: Minimizing Delirium Risk for Older Adults in Integrated Primary Care

This presentation suggests an alternative model for psychiatric prescribing for older adults in the integrated primary care setting, to minimize the risk of life-threatening delirium. This model proposes use of an individualized, patient-centered medication decision-making strategy, coupled with 8 strategic recommendations for geriatric prescribing, facilitated by the PMHNP.
