This interactive presentation presents the opportunity to address the barriers of shame/stigma faced by both nurses and patients when delivering substance use disorder (SUD) care. By openly discussing these challenges, we aim to develop steps to foster safe, effective connections, to eliminate barriers, and identify proactive strategies to reduce shame/stigma and biases.

- Identify two to three methods of addressing stigma in addiction care, which include identifying personal/team bias and providing psychoeducation.
