This lecture will provide a comprehensive overview of sleep and the role of role of psychiatric nurses in the management of sleep. It will review the biology of sleep, common sleep disorders, review non-pharmacological and pharmacological treatments for sleep, and explore the role of psychiatric nurses in assessing and managing sleep to improve psychiatric outcomes.
