3027-18:  Got Trauma? Debriefing in the Workplace

This presentation highlights the importance of debriefing following traumatic events that occur inside and outside the hospital setting. Types of traumatic events will be discussed and the impact they often have on nurses. A debriefing model will be described. The presentation will conclude with suggestions to cope with traumatic events.
