This session looks at a program designed to improve the quality of inpatient care for patients with specific needs including developmental disability, non-suicidal self injury, and aggression.

Upon completion of this presentation, the participant will be able to:

  1. Describe the process of staff engagement in practice change.
  2. Identify strategies to develop multi-level, targeted interventions to address the needs of a changing patient demographic.
  3. Describe the impact of an approach to unique needs patients that includes staff re-education, community outreach, and multi-track programming.
