2035-16: 2015 ASAM Guidelines for the Use of Medications in Opioid Addictions: What Providers Need to Know about Implementing it into Practice

This session provides a review the 2015 ASAM National Practice Guidelines for the use of medications in the treatment of opioid use disorder.  A review of the DSM-V criteria for a substance use disorder, levels of care for treatment, and the process of making appropriate referrals when necessary is discussed.
