2022-18: Guns, the Media, and Mental Illness: PMH Nursing's Response to Mass Shooting in American Schools

Mass school shootings have occurred recently, in Parkland, Florida. How can PMH nurses fight stigma by educating the public, the media, and legislators about the facts of gun violence (usually directed at self through suicide as opposed to against others).

  • Describe three facts about gun violence in teens and two misconceptions about students who become mass school shooters.
