COPE - A Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) based program for Child/Adolescent inpatient groups and brief individual sessions.  This session includes the basics of CBT adapted for children/ teens and implementation of the COPE program with demonstrations/ videos.

Session Objectives
Upon completion of this presentation, the participant will be able to:

  1. Identify the basic principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as adapted for children and adolescents.
  2. Discuss the Cognitive-Behavioral Skills Building approach as an evidence-based first line treatment for depressed/anxious children and teens delivered in group or individual sessions.
  3. Describe the COPE 7 – session and 15 session, Cognitive-Behavioral Skills building program contents and its implementation in brief individual visits or in groups.
